“Cuota de género” Proyecto en desarrollo.

The gender quota in political parties is a very recent legal modification in Mexico, therefore, the treatment of the images in the project "Gender Quota" is done through publications, as fanzines or magazines try to resemble the dissemination of something new.

 

As a spectator of something new, viewers can rearrange the pieces, contrast and compare them, to find new meanings since the role of women in the power system, at this particular moment, is in a process of validation and resignification. 

 

In an analogy of what happens when you talk about the subject in real life, you may or may not use gloves to move photographs. Prints loose their unreachable status and convert in an usual object manipulated by audience´s will.
